The A I R Showcase of Arts, Innovation and Research is presented by RISD Research (Rhode Island School of Design). This interactive event includes displays by artists and designers who use interdisciplinary methods to explore regional and global issues. By mixing art and design with science and technology, they develop dynamic solutions and creative breakthroughs.
A I R features activations, installations, prototypes, video, and digital media, along with flash talks, a panel discussion and several other interactive activities. It is a forum to experience the full dimension of research generated at RISD by faculty and students.
A I R opens the way for Rhode Island’s creative and innovation communities to converge and explore.
RISD Research sustains the school’s culture of inquiry by offering a platform for research initiatives, providing opportunities for programming, training, and publication, and encouraging collaboration among students and faculty.
